Responsibilities
- Perform General Labor: Assist in a variety of manual tasks including sweeping streets, cleaning drainage ditches, and removing debris from public rights-of-way.
- Maintain Infrastructure: Help with painting, repairing signs, and maintaining parks, landscaping, and recreational areas.
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate basic equipment such as jackhammers, rollers, and sweepers under supervision.
- Traffic Control: Assist in setting up and monitoring traffic control zones, including flagging duties and directing traffic.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and supplies using hand trucks or other appropriate equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other crew members and supervisors to complete projects on time and to high standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Driver's License: Valid California Class C Driver's License is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Attitude: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
