Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate and maintain light equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, pressure washers)
- Assist in public facility maintenance (parks, buildings, sidewalks)
- Support stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery operations
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Complete routine inspections and documentation of work sites
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic equipment operation skills (training provided)
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
