Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for public infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and power washers under supervision
- Assist in construction projects including sidewalk repairs and utility line installations
- Ensure worksite safety compliance and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Support emergency response teams during weather-related incidents
- Document daily work activities and material usage
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tool operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Residency in Laredo, TX preferred
