Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on city facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment including trucks, tractors, and hand tools
- Respond to emergency repairs and storm-related incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of public spaces and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year of maintenance or construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
