Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment for road repairs, drainage systems, and park maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance on municipal vehicles and machinery
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Inspect public facilities and report safety hazards or maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document maintenance activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years maintenance experience
- Valid Class B CDL driver's license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor environments
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- New Mexico residency required
