The Role
As a Daily Pay Maintenance Technician, you will execute a variety of essential public service tasks. From snow removal and street sweeping to graffiti removal and sign maintenance, your work ensures that San Francisco remains a world-class city.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, and public right-of-way infrastructure.
- Operate heavy-duty municipal equipment, including sweepers, rollers, and loaders, following strict safety protocols.
- Assist with emergency response tasks during inclement weather events, such as flooding and snow removal.
- Inspect work areas for hazards and ensure compliance with all City safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work site, including proper equipment maintenance and cleanup.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance equipment is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a post-offer medical examination and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
