Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, jackhammers, and pavement breakers.
- Inspect public facilities and parks to ensure safety and compliance with city codes.
- Assist in snow and ice removal during inclement weather (as applicable).
- Maintain and clean work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure safety standards.
- Respond to emergency public works requests and service calls promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Strong commitment to public service and teamwork.
