Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including graders, rollers, and snowplows during winter months.
- Inspect public facilities and infrastructure to identify potential safety hazards or code violations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and public complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure strict adherence to all traffic control laws, OSHA safety regulations, and city codes.
- Clean and prepare construction sites, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments to coordinate large-scale public works projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A valid Colorado Driverβs License is mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and working in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment or hand tools is highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance terminology.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
