Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of City infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as dump trucks, backhoes, and graders, in strict compliance with all safety protocols.
- Conduct sanitation duties, including litter removal, trash collection, and street sweeping to maintain community aesthetics.
- Inspect public works sites for safety hazards and report deficiencies to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Assist in emergency response scenarios related to severe weather or public safety incidents.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and operating hand tools.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting skills is a plus.
