Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy-duty street sweeping equipment and sanitation vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Perform graffiti removal and cleaning of public infrastructure, including sidewalks, storm drains, and public facilities.
- Assist in emergency response operations, including snow removal, flood control, and debris clearance.
- Inspect city parks and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and report hazards.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and Department of Public Works policies.
- Collaborate with team members to complete large-scale sanitation and maintenance projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to public service and community integrity.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle or machinery operation is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
