Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair on city streets, sidewalks, and right-of-way areas.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, graders, rollers, and snowplows, in accordance with safety protocols.
- Inspect public infrastructure for defects and perform necessary repairs or report findings to supervisors.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and weather-related incidents promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
