As a Municipal Worker in this role, you will be on the front lines of maintaining Atlanta's infrastructure. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to work.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as dump trucks, backhoes, and pavement breakers, following all safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections of city facilities and grounds to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and citizen inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Georgia Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation is preferred.
