Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including dump trucks, graders, and excavators.
- Inspect municipal infrastructure to identify potential hazards or needed repairs.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during adverse weather conditions.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Arizona Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and background check.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
