Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency road maintenance, including pothole repair, crack sealing, and pavement marking.
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment such as dump trucks, rollers, graders, and jackhammers.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signs, signals, and guardrails.
- Inspect infrastructure for safety hazards and report deficiencies to supervisors.
- Participate in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather conditions.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely at job sites.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or ability to obtain one.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general labor is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labor.
- Knowledge of basic safety regulations and OSHA standards is a plus.
