Responsibilities
- Oversee municipal infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, and public facilities
- Manage departmental budget allocation and vendor contracts
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and safety standards
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives for community development
- Lead staff training programs and performance evaluations
- Implement sustainable urban planning initiatives
- Report project progress to city council and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Public Administration
- 5+ years in municipal project management
- Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with GIS mapping and infrastructure software
- Demonstrated leadership in public sector environments
- Knowledge of federal grant application processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
