Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including loaders, graders, and trenchers
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance needs
- Implement erosion control and landscaping projects
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public works planning
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Manage inventory and requisition construction materials
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- 3+ years experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and asset management software
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
