Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on municipal streets, parks, and public facilities.
- Operate heavy and light machinery, including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and mowers, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Inspect public infrastructure for damage or code violations and report findings to supervisors.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety.
- Respond to resident inquiries regarding municipal services and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory usage, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with other city departments and contractors to coordinate large-scale projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; technical or vocational certification in a related field is a plus.
- Valid Oklahoma Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or a related trade.
- Physical ability to perform heavy labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
