Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum error correction and qubit stabilization
- Collaborate with physicists, engineers, and software developers to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage in cryptography, materials science, and AI optimization
- Secure patents and publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum hardware/software architecture or related field
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and error correction codes
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in superconducting systems or photonic quantum computing
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research papers
- Experience securing government/industry grants for quantum research
