Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum circuit architectures for real-world applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerance frameworks
- Collaborate with physicists to translate quantum algorithms into hardware specifications
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing systems
- Establish performance benchmarks and optimization strategies for quantum processors
- Research emerging quantum materials and qubit technologies
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 10+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Strong background in superconducting qubits or photonic quantum systems
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in classical computing architectures and high-performance computing
