Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation applications
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-classical interfaces
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Create performance benchmarks and validation frameworks for quantum processors
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming best practices
- Contribute to open-source quantum software libraries
- Present findings at industry conferences and peer-reviewed publications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with NISQ-era hardware constraints and optimization techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Expertise in at least one classical HPC framework (MPI, OpenMP, CUDA)
- Proven track record of shipping production-level quantum software
