Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptographic key distribution systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using 50+ qubit processors
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate operations at sub-Kelvin temperatures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and whitepapers on quantum information theory
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum machine learning applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum information theory
- Proficiency in low-level quantum hardware control systems (FPGA, cryogenic interfaces)
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and post-quantum cryptographic standards
- Clearance eligibility for DoD/NIST quantum security projects
