Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Lead experimental research on qubit coherence times and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop scalable quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with emerging quantum cloud platforms
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and IP
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum measurement equipment
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and statistical mechanics
