Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Develop error-correction methodologies to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 1000+ qubits
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published peer-reviewed work in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business-critical applications
