Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and logistics
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $500K+ in annual R&D funding through grant proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra and group theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Track record of securing NSF or DoE quantum research grants
