Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects targeting 2026 quantum computing milestones
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industrial deployment
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at global conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Secure intellectual property through patents and proprietary frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to quantum systems
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DOE, etc.)
