Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in machine learning and optimization
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum system development
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards for 2026 infrastructure
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Secure patents for novel quantum methodologies and architectures
- Maintain quantum hardware calibration and performance optimization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven ability to design quantum error correction codes
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Track record of securing government or corporate research grants
- US citizenship required for government project access
