Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum theory and practical applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing models using IBM Q and Rigetti systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- 3+ years of industry research or postdoc experience
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
