Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Develop error-correction protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical quantum models into scalable software solutions
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting qubits
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum machine learning methodologies
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD quantum computing grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Demonstrated experience with quantum error mitigation techniques
- Understanding of quantum machine learning architectures (QNNs, QML)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into actionable engineering solutions
