Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for 2026-era infrastructure
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum technology initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top quantum computing journals (minimum 5 papers)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
