Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish research findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or IEEE journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in high-performance computing environments
- Experience securing federal research grants preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
