Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors at room-temperature superconducting systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through compelling technical proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop IP portfolios with 15+ patent applications annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Proven track record securing government or corporate research funding
- Experience mentoring PhD candidates/postdocs in quantum computing
