Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures with 99.9% fidelity targets
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2023 graduates preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum gate-level programming
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent venues
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion systems
- Ability to secure DoE or NSF research funding
