Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty garbage trucks and collection vehicles to ensure efficient waste removal.
- Collect and transport residential and commercial refuse, recyclables, and yard waste.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on sanitation equipment and report mechanical issues.
- Assist in street sweeping operations and debris management during inclement weather.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and city policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Louisiana Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Physically capable of working in various weather conditions and performing manual labor.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
