Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned municipal facilities to deter criminal activity and enforce security protocols
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms during overnight hours
- Conduct access control for employees, visitors, and vehicles
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs
- Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire) during critical incidents
- Perform safety inspections and identify potential security vulnerabilities
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors during emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Texas Security Officer License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and surveillance systems
- Strong observational skills and situational awareness
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
