Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, and resolutions with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee issuance of vital documents including marriage licenses, business certificates, and notarized affidavits
- Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and official documentation for City Council meetings
- Coordinate public record requests while ensuring compliance with FOIL regulations
- Administer oaths of office and serve as the city's official notary public
- Lead digital archiving initiatives for historical preservation
- Collaborate with mayoral offices and agency heads on procedural compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or record management experience
- Expertise in New York State municipal codes and administrative procedures
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance for critical records
- NY State Notary Public certification required
- Proven ability to manage high-volume public service operations
