Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and council meeting documentation with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with California Public Records Act requirements
- Coordinate municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot preparation processes
- Lead administrative support for city council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Supervise clerk staff and implement record-keeping systems for departmental operations
- Serve as primary liaison between city departments and the public regarding administrative procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public sector administrative experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- California Notary Public certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proven expertise in records management, FOIA compliance, and election administration
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact diplomatically with diverse stakeholders
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
