Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records with meticulous attention to detail and compliance with municipal regulations
- Process and analyze complex permit applications, zoning documents, and public records requests
- Coordinate cross-departmental communications and maintain accurate digital filing systems
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for city council meetings and public hearings
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and city departments regarding administrative procedures
- Train junior clerks on document management protocols and city software systems
- Conduct regular audits of departmental records to ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or public sector administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal record-keeping software
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field required (Bachelor's preferred)
- Deep knowledge of St. Louis municipal codes and regulatory procedures
