Responsibilities
- Lead incident response coordination for cyber threats affecting federal infrastructure
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop and implement NIST-compliant security frameworks and policies
- Manage vulnerability remediation across 50+ agency systems
- Provide expert guidance on FISMA and CMMC compliance requirements
- Collaborate with FBI, NSA, and CISA on joint security initiatives
- Mentor junior cybersecurity professionals through DHS training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal IT security with CISSP/GSEC certification
- Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network defense tools
- Experience developing zero-trust architectures for government systems
- Proficient in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional security teams
