Responsibilities
- Lead the collection, cleansing, and analysis of complex datasets to support strategic city initiatives.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, forecast future needs, and evaluate program performance.
- Collaborate with department heads and city officials to translate data findings into actionable policy recommendations.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and modeling.
- Expert level skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Valid California Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
