Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data models and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support county reporting needs.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or PowerBI to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including department heads and policy makers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform advanced data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure data integrity across all county systems.
- Conduct statistical analysis and forecasting to support long-term strategic planning and budget allocation.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on data analysis best practices and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role within the public sector.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying large, complex datasets.
- Expert-level skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or QlikView.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings to non-technical audiences clearly.
