Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex database architectures to support state tax systems and applications.
- Perform advanced database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Lead migration projects and ensure data integrity and consistency across all platforms.
- Develop and enforce strict security protocols to comply with NY State and Federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architectural solutions.
- Conduct regular audits and implement backup and recovery strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree is preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Certification in Microsoft (MCDBA) or Oracle (OCP) database administration is required.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Ability to obtain a New York State security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
