Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive economic development strategies for Minneapolis region
- Lead business attraction initiatives targeting high-growth industries
- Manage incentive programs and negotiate complex business agreements
- Collaborate with local governments, nonprofits, and private sector partners
- Analyze economic data and prepare actionable policy recommendations
- Oversee grant programs supporting small business expansion
- Represent the department at regional economic forums and conferences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in economic development or public policy
- Proven track record in business attraction or project management
- Advanced knowledge of Minnesota's economic incentive programs
- Exceptional analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with grant administration and compliance reporting
- Ability to interpret complex economic data and trends
