Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal healthcare datasets to identify trends and opportunities for service improvement
- Design and maintain automated reporting systems using SQL, Python, and R for veteran population insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies for veteran healthcare programs
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FISMA) and security protocols
- Create executive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI for stakeholder presentations
- Lead data quality initiatives and implement robust data governance frameworks
- Present findings to senior leadership and congressional committees when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets or large-scale healthcare systems
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Certification in federal data security protocols (e.g., IAM, FedRAMP)
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Demonstrated experience with ETL processes and data warehousing
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and veteran-specific metrics
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
