Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex federal IT systems and networks to ensure maximum uptime and security.
- Implement and enforce strict federal security protocols and compliance standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for federal employees and agency partners.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for system upgrades, hardware repairs, and software integration.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and lead emergency IT response initiatives during system outages.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive federal data.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent technical experience.
- Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience working within federal or government IT environments, including legacy systems.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network security, cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes government environment.
