Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement complex IT infrastructure solutions for federal clients, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Manage and troubleshoot server environments, network configurations, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) in compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and implement mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions on time and within budget.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in architectural decision-making.
- Document system architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in federal IT systems engineering or a related technical role.
- Expert knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, virtualization technologies, and scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Solutions Architect is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations (FISMA, NIST 800-53) and cybersecurity best practices.
