We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Federal Systems Administrator to support critical infrastructure projects in Kansas City, Missouri. Role Overview:
You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure IT environments that comply with strict federal regulations. Your expertise will ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive data for our federal clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure for federal clients including on-premise and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Ensure strict compliance with FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP security standards and government policies.
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting for server hardware, network issues, and application failures.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and performance tuning.
- Manage user access control, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and permission structures.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Mentor junior administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Active Top Secret or Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT environments or intelligence community support.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
