Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 5-year strategic foresight frameworks for disruptive technologies (AI, quantum computing, bioinformatics)
- Lead scenario planning workshops for 2026 market conditions and regulatory landscapes
- Produce annual 'State of the Future' reports with actionable recommendations for R&D priorities
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks specializing in future studies
- Design and implement early-warning systems for emerging technological risks and opportunities
- Present strategic briefings to executive leadership and board members quarterly
- Mentor junior futurists and build organizational foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent field
- Minimum 7 years experience in innovation strategy, R&D, or technology consulting
- Proven track record of developing and implementing long-term strategic plans
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning methodologies, and horizon scanning
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology forecasting (required)
