Responsibilities
- Lead 3-5 concurrent foresight initiatives analyzing technological, economic, and societal shifts through 2026
- Develop proprietary forecasting models using AI-driven data analysis and scenario planning frameworks
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite executives at partner organizations including NASA, SpaceX, and MIT Media Lab
- Author quarterly 'Horizon Scan' reports distributed to 500+ industry stakeholders
- Mentor junior researchers while fostering cross-functional collaboration with quantum computing and bioengineering teams
- Secure and manage $2M+ annual research grants from NSF and private innovation funds
- Represent the company at Davos, TED, and global futurist conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent with 8+ years applied research experience
- Published portfolio in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Futures, Technological Forecasting) or industry whitepapers
- Expertise in trend analysis methodologies including Delphi, Horizon Scanning, and causal layered analysis
- Proficiency in Python/R for data modeling and visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI
- Demonstrated success securing government or corporate research funding ($500K+ projects)
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech domains: AGI, quantum computing, synthetic biology, and climate engineering
- Exceptional storytelling ability with 50+ high-stakes executive presentations delivered
- Active membership in World Futures Federation or Association of Professional Futurists
