Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of federal, state, and local regulations to support policy development.
- Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and recommendations for government stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their potential impact on agency operations and funding.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new policies and procedures efficiently.
- Represent the organization at public meetings, hearings, and community outreach events.
- Maintain accurate records of policy changes, compliance issues, and audit findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, policy analysis, or public sector consulting.
- Deep understanding of New York State and City government structure and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and statistics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
