- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to align with federal and state privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with project managers and policy makers to identify technical requirements for new e-government initiatives.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex IT issues affecting government service delivery.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on new software tools and data management protocols.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure the procurement of high-quality IT solutions for the municipality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government, public sector, or compliance-heavy IT environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Deep understanding of state procurement processes and government security clearance protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations.
